Shri Krishna said many things in Bhagavad Gita and those are all lifelong lessons, but recently one of them struck a serious chord within me.
It was when he said that In our next life, we become what we think at the last moment of our present life.
That’s it, think of anything and be that…. What could be easier than that? But there’s a catch, thinking of anything during death, when dear life is ebbing away, rather than the most cherished one, seems impossible and improbable to me.
Just then it happened. I froze for a moment, as a different meaning just hit me out of nowhere.
I am living a life (with all of its shortcomings and some great moments) right now… Does that mean during dying in my last life I was thinking about this life?
Was this life truly so desirable?
Maybe to someone who had no one to care for.
Maybe to someone who never got the chance to tell his story.
Maybe to someone who left too much unfinished.
If that is true, then my past self chose this life.
And if my own soul chose this life, who am I to waste even a second of it?
Then let me live it fully.
Let me prove my past self right…..
Takeaway
Prove your past self Right….
