Our society had advised maids to do an RT-PCR test to get entry into our building. Both my maids got anxious as to where they could do the test and the cost. Not doing the test meant a loss of work, and that was something they could ill-afford.
So I scheduled their test at a nearby centre and paid for the same. They were called for testing during their workday, and they left hurriedly, clearly tense due to remaining work in my house and delay in going to their other place of work. It took 30 min for them to return. Meanwhile, I did their pending jobs and offered them khus-kokam coolant as the summer had already intensified here in Mumbai.
I noticed a broad smile on their face and so much gratitude in eyes. Since then, the quality of their services and willingness to do perfect work that makes us happy has gone up.
Kindness is hidden in every heart.
