The other day, I had been to a cafe to meet a few office colleagues. While we were waiting for someone to come and take our order, I turned around to call the waiter. Just then I saw a blind man enter the cafe and he was asking one of the waiters for some money.
While I am usually hesitant to walk up and offer some help on such occasions, I encouraged myself to get off my seat and walk to the blind man. He was about to leave, so I asked the waiter to stop him. And when he stopped, I opened my wallet and gave him some cash.
A deep sense of satisfaction filled me at just being able to help someone in need.
Being aware throughout the day that we need to be kind to others.
