This is a tiny RAK that I indulged in today. On the way home from a shop, I noticed a lady walking very slowly ahead of my car. As the road was a small and congested one, her slowness added to the traffic and impatience of the people behind us. Looking closely, I saw that she was pregnant, almost full-term. I requested the driver to stop the car a few paces ahead. I got out of the car and offered her a lift to wherever she wanted to go. She then told me that she was due to deliver the next day and had been advised by the doctor to walk for a certain amount of time. Even when I insisted, she still kindly refused my offer and thanked me for the help.
In retrospect, I felt I should have a little harder, especially as walking on the road is quite dangerous. All I can do now is hope and pray that she reached home safely and is healthy for her delivery tomorrow.
Don’t hesitate. Do it anyways.
