During my recent 19-day stay at the ashram, a single housekeeper came in thrice over the days to makeover my shared room.
I decided to apply something I had seen some of our relatives do in the US as they had left my sister-in-law’s home. Even though it wasn’t needed, It had left me with much thoughtfulness
So I made the beds and changed all the covers while the housekeeper did other tasks in the room. I also helped dispose off garbage in designated collection areas regularly.
Then on the last day, I encouraged my two roommates to pull off the pillow, bed & quilt covers and leave them neatly folded. This so, to make just a moment of the housekeeper’s work lighter & probably stay motivated to do such mundane jobs.
All in gratitude of those who make our stay at the Ashram, the comfortable best.
Lighten someone’s load been if they are paid to carry it.
