On our street, there is a dog everyone treats as a family member even though he is a stray. Our son has named him Zoomba. Yesterday, while we were out for an after-dinner walk, we found Zoomba trapped in one of the neighbourhood houses. My husband informed me that he had been trapped there since evening and was crying for help.
Shaken by this, I decided to help. We rang the bell of the house he was trapped in, but no one responded. We coaxed him to come out, but he couldn’t. We kept calling the house owner repeatedly until the house was opened.
Once free, the dog ran out. We were so happy to help Zoomba. It felt as though we had helped ourselves. 🙂
Takeaway
Helping anyone brings true happiness.
