One early morning, after the daily meeting, a colleague was tearful at her desk. I’ve known her for years, and she is the brightest and most uplifting person in the office. I was taken aback and asked her what was wrong. She said her son had a serious health issue, and the insurance wasn’t willing to cover it. She had looked for private resources but needed $10,000 that she didn’t have. Given the acuity of the need, I went to the bank and made out a cashier’s check for her. My mind objected several times while I was in the process of doing this. However, I kept on observing each thought until the mind let it go. Whether or not I “see” that money again is irrelevant. We are more than money. We rarely get opportunities to show acts of kindness, so we should jump at them. So thankful we can focus on this ability through this app.💕
Sometimes the universe gives you only a split second opportunity to act.
