Once on holiday, I had to go shopping in the city market. We were in the countryside, so reaching the market took about half an hour. I told my daughter, who had to drive me, that we would leave for the market post noon as Rahukaalam would be over by that time. Usually, I don’t believe in such superstition, but that day while reading the newspaper, I saw the time of Rahukaalam and decided not to move out during that time. My daughter didn’t believe in all this, so she said we would leave at 11.45 am.
As we came out of our colony, I saw a poor, helpless young lady carrying a small child and a heavy bag walking in the hot sun. I told my daughter to stop the car. I asked the lady if we could drop her at her residence. She agreed happily. On the way, she shared she had lost her in-laws during the pandemic, and because of this tragedy, her husband had a nervous breakdown. We felt very sorry for her.
I understood God’s planning. He wanted me to help that lady. I gave her my address and told her to come to me if she needed any kind of help.
Takeaway
If we surrender ourselves to God, he makes us the medium to help others.
