Yesterday, a story about Sikkim (a North-Eastern state of India) was one of the viral subjects in social media & Newspapers. Due to a sudden cloud burst, accompanied by a sleet storm, around 200 tourists got stranded at Nathula Pass. There was a distress call to the nearest Army base. Immediately, an officer and his men approached them and, after facing great hurdles, evacuated them from that area. On their way back to Gangtok, the Indian Army provided them with steaming food and hot water. All tourists were in tears at that kind act. Before leaving for Gangtok, each of them offered their pranam to the officer to express their gratitude. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
