Akshey is an eight year’s old boy in my yoga class. He has mild autism, is very intelligent, kind and speaks his mind. Sometimes he just tells how things are. Recently another kid in the class commented that we have a clown because he thought what Akshey had shared wasn’t smart. Akshey sat quietly with his head down.
I immediately stopped the class and told the other kids that it was not nice and we needed to be kind to each other. Akshey has a good quality of speaking his mind, and that is ok. We always need to remember kindness. I could see the other kid understood and has been good since then.
Takeaway
Children are our future, and we must teach them to be kind.
