My youngest son and daughter-in-law are very fond of dogs. They were heartbroken when their pet of many years died of old age. After a few months, they wanted to adopt another pup. They always got them from shelters to give an abandoned dog a new life. When she went to the shelter, the staff informed her that no pups were available. Disappointed, she walked around and saw a huge hound, all skin and bones. The staff told her that the breeders used her as long as they could and then abandoned her. Without proper food, she was very sick. And to add to her woe, the snarly street dogs attacked her. The shelter had just been able to rescue her. My daughter-in-law was so very disturbed and sad that she decided to adopt the dog straight away. The shelter staff told her that the dog, Nema, was old and sick, so taking care of her would be difficult. But my daughter-in-law had made up her mind. They took her, got her treated, and gave the poor creature a lot of love and care. Today Nema is a beautiful and proud hound bristling with energy and beauty.
