I live in a small town in Jammu and Kashmir. One morning, as it was a holiday, we decided to have samosa and jalebi for breakfast. I went to the shop and ordered the samosa, and I was approached by a lady holding a small child asking for food. I stared at her, then asked the vendor to give her samosas and that I would pay for them.
Meantime I took my order, got in my car and was driving away when I saw the look on the woman’s face. She was feeding her child first, and then she took the bite. I saw the feeling of satisfaction. I know she had not blessed or told me anything, but by looking at her face, I felt satisfaction in me …and that face and that smile – they were my blessing.
An act of kindness can give us immense satisfaction.
