One winter morning, I received a message from one of my LinkedIn connections. She asked me to check if I still had my wallet with me. When I checked, I realized it was missing! I was surprised how someone living in another city came to know about it.
Apparently, the previous day I had lost it in downtown Toronto. It had fallen out of the car’s back seat while I took out something. It was a rough day, and I hadn’t missed my wallet, even though it had all my banking cards, government ids, etc.
A gentleman found it on the street. When he saw all the important information therein, he tried his best to find me through social media. He managed to reach out to a connection of mine who had my phone number. I was deeply touched by his effort and kindness; because of his kindness, I received my wallet even before I realized I had lost it.
Whenever I feel life is not fair, I try to remember all the kindness I receive. It helps me to have a new perspective.
